Man arrested after altercation and evacuation at Colorado Springs restaurant
Juan Soto-Talamantes was arrested by the Colorado Springs Police (CSPD) on Friday evening after an altercation at a restaurant located on the 2500 block of S. Academy Boulevard.
The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) was alerted to a disruptive incident at a local restaurant on Friday at 5:56 p.m. A concerned caller reported that a man was causing a disturbance by throwing objects and shouting at customers.
According to CSPD, the restaurant was evacuated, with both employees and customers being safely removed from the premises.
When the officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the man involved was none other than Soto-Talamantes. It was also revealed that he had several outstanding warrants.
According to CSPD, the man made a sudden movement towards a knife, prompting the officers to respond by using a Taser and a pepper ball gun.
Soto-Talamantes was apprehended by the police without causing any harm to anyone involved.
