Police alerted by loud explosion, find suspicious object
Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) were alerted to a loud explosion in the area, prompting them to investigate. They discovered a suspicious object that had been engulfed in flames.
On Sunday, November 26th, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the police received several reports regarding a loud explosion. Acting upon the information, officers conducted an investigation that directed them to the 200 block of North Logan Avenue, situated near the intersection of East Platte Avenue and East Bijou Street.
The police officers discovered a suspicious object that had been intentionally set on fire. They immediately contacted the Regional Explosives Unit of CSPD to assess the object’s potential danger. After careful evaluation, it was concluded that the object posed no threat to the community.
