Police Discover Woman’s Body Inside Harlem Stairwell
Police responded to a distress call in Harlem on Monday, where they discovered an unconscious and unresponsive 32-year-old woman. The incident took place at 112 East 128th Street, falling under the jurisdiction of the 25th Precinct, around 11:23 AM.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the woman in the staircase of the building. Emergency Medical Services were immediately called to the location and they pronounced the woman dead on site. Upon initial examination, there were no apparent signs of physical injury.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. The Medical Examiner’s office has been assigned the responsibility of determining the official cause of death.
The authorities are currently awaiting proper notification of the deceased woman’s family before disclosing her identity.
