Travis Kelce was injured after an enraged Taylor Swift dropped an F-bomb in the stands
Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs emerged victorious over the New England Patriots on Sunday, as his girlfriend Taylor Swift enthusiastically cheered him on from the stands at Gillette Stadium.
Taylor Swift let out a frustrated scream when Travis Kelce failed to catch a touchdown pass against the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, Kelce was also injured during the game.
Swift attended the recent defeats against the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills. However, the Kansas City Chiefs regained control in their game against the New England Patriots. In the second quarter, Patrick Mahomes targeted Kelce with a jump ball in the end zone. Although Kelce managed to get his hands on it, a defender intervened and knocked the ball away.
In the fourth quarter, the 34-year-old intercepted a pass from Mahomes and collided with Patriots defenders as he fell out of bounds. However, Kelce suffered from the tackle, visibly wincing in pain as he made his way to the sideline.
After the game, he made a comeback to the field. In his post-game press conference, head coach Andy Reid shared that he had experienced an elbow stinger.
Kelce had a tough time making an impact in the game at Foxborough. He only managed to catch five passes for a total of 27 yards. However, despite his struggles, the Chiefs were able to come out on top with a 27-17 victory. This win allowed them to maintain their position at the top of the AFC West, while the Patriots fell to a record of 3-11.
Shortly before the game started at Gillette Stadium, Taylor Swift made her entrance wearing a Kansas City Chiefs beanie to show her support for her NFL star boyfriend. She looked stylish in a Chiefs crewneck sweater paired with black tights. The pop icon was hoping to bring some good luck to the team as they aimed to get back on track and secure a victory.
Walking down the tunnel, Kelce caught sight of a poster featuring Swift, a familiar face at Gillette Stadium. The tight end briefly glanced at the image of his partner before stepping onto the field, ready to take on the Pats.
Sunday’s victory over the Patriots marked Kelce’s third triumph in New England. However, he has also experienced two losses against Bill Belichick’s team while playing away games. With Swift present at the game, Kelce was determined to make a strong impression. Unfortunately, he struggled and even had to leave the game early due to an arm injury.
Taylor Swift was spotted in the company of Brittany Mahomes, Ashley Avignone, and her father Scott as she watched the Chiefs take an early lead over the Pats. Interestingly, Swift has had a more prosperous career than Kelce at the stadium.
Taylor Swift has performed 13 shows in Foxborough, making her the first woman to headline a concert at Gillette during her ‘Fearless’ Tour in 2010. Even Patriots head coach Belichick attended one of her concerts at Gillette during her ‘Eras’ Tour in May and spoke highly of her performance during the offseason.
Belichick was thoroughly impressed by attending a Swift concert, expressing admiration for her resilience. He remarked, “She is tough, man. She just stood out there and played right through (the rain).”
“I strongly believe in the idea of ‘you’ve got to calm down.’ It’s a phrase that holds a lot of value and is often very appropriate. There are many instances where taking a step back and finding your calm is essential.”
