Drug Bust in Island Park: Three Arrested in Major Narcotics Sting, Cocaine, Heroin, and Fentanyl Seized

Police seized significant quantities of cocaine, crack-cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl, resulting in the arrest of three individuals in an Island Park drug bust.

On Friday, October 6, 2023, at 6:12 am, the Island Park witnessed the arrest of three individuals, according to the Major Case Bureau’s report.

Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives are presently conducting an investigation into the sale of various narcotics in the Island Park vicinity. Recently, the Vice Squad, along with the Bureau of Special Operations, executed a court-ordered search warrant at 17 Island Parkway. During the operation, a considerable amount of illegal substances including Cocaine, Crack-Cocaine, Heroin, Fentanyl, Methadone, and packaging materials, along with over $200 in US currency were seized from the location.

Police took Robert Stockdale, Christine Lyons, and Joseph Zimatore into custody after discovering several violations at their residence located at 17 Island Parkway. The three individuals, who lived at the property, were arrested without incident. Additionally, Town of Hempstead Building Inspectors were present at the scene and boarded up the residence. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

On August 16, 2023, at 4:08 pm in Island Park, it was discovered that Defendant Stockdale was in possession of and had sold a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for an agreed-upon sum of US currency.

At 5:10 pm on August 25, 2023, in Island Park, the defendant, Stockdale, was found to be in possession of and sold a certain quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for an agreed upon amount of US currency. Similarly, on September 25, 2023, at 4:35 pm, while in Long Beach, the defendant, Stockdale, was found to be in possession of and sold a certain quantity of Crack-Cocaine and Fentanyl to another individual for an agreed upon amount of US currency.

At precisely 4:59 pm on September 27, 2023, in Island Park, both defendant Stockdale and defendant Zimatore committed the offenses of unlawful possession and sale of a specified amount of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for an agreed sum of US currency.

At 4:38 pm on September 28, 2023, Defendants Stockdale and Zimatore were found to be in unlawful possession and sale of a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another individual for an agreed upon sum of US currency in Island Park.
On October 3, 2023, at 2:53 pm in Island Park Defendant Stockdale did unlawfully possess and sell a quantity of Crack-Cocaine to another for an agreed upon sum of US currency.

• Defendant Robert Stockdale is charged with seven counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3 rd Degree,
• eight counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3 rd Degree,
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5 th Degree and Criminal Possession of a  Controlled Substance 7 th Degree,
• Defendant Joseph Zimatore is charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3 rd Degree,
• two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3 rd Degree,
• Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7 th Degree,
• Defendant Christine Lyons is charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7 th Degree.

Stockdale and Zimatore will face their arraignment on October 7, 2023, at the First District Court located on 99 Main Street in Hempstead.

Lyons, the defendants, received an Appearance Ticket and was released. The ticket is returnable to the First District Court located at 99 Main Street, Hempstead. Lyons is expected to appear in court at a later date.
