Update: A woman is in critical condition following an accident on Highway 231
PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Update 7 a.m. Tuesday: The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that a 31-year-old lady from Dothan, Alabama, is in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 231 Tuesday morning involving a sedan and a semi-truck.
The woman’s automobile was stopped at a stop sign on Titus Road eastbound. A 51-year-old man from Lynn Haven was driving a semi-truck southbound. The woman then joined the road and attempted to turn north. Her vehicle then crossed into the path of the other vehicle, resulting in an accident. This occurred at 2:21 a.m.
The woman was sent to a nearby hospital. The semi-truck driver was not wounded.
A car accident on 231 at Titus Road and North Star Avenue in Panama City slowed traffic Tuesday morning.
A semi-truck and a truck crashed in the southbound lane of Highway 231. As a result of the incident, the two vehicles ended up in the northbound lane of traffic, and oil was spilled on the road.
According to WJHG, the truck driver was taken to the hospital.
