Arrests Made in Medina by ORLEANS COUNTY/Major Felony Crime Task Force for Crack Cocaine Possession and Related Items Found
Ucreview – The Orleans County Major Felony Crime Task Force, in collaboration with the Medina Police Department and Orleans County Sheriff’s Department, conducted an investigation into the sale and distribution of crack cocaine in and around the Medina area. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at 388 Erie St. in the Village of Medina, NY. The warrant also covered a 2021 Toyota RAV 4 rental vehicle.
The police confiscated an assortment of illegal items, which included more than 40 small baggies of crack cocaine, a sum of $3,400.00 in cash, scales, various packaging materials, and other drug paraphernalia.
The authorities have apprehended Demarques B. Underwood, also known as “Dutch,” who is 34 years old and resides at 388 Erie St. Medina N.Y. Underwood is facing multiple charges, including three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree (B felonies) and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree (B felonies). Additionally, he is charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree (C felony).
At 35 years old, Erica J. Davis, residing at 388 Erie St. Medina, N.Y., has been charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a B felony, and one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a C felony.
The Hon. Richard Root, the town of Barre Justice, arraigned Underwood in Cap Court and ordered him to be committed without bail to the Orleans County Jail. This was due to his prior criminal record.
According to the New York State Bail Reform Laws, Davis was given an appearance ticket and released. Both individuals are required to appear in the Town of Ridgeway Justice Court on October 30th, 2023 at 9:00 AM.
