Funeral Home Licenses In The Area Have Been Suspended
The Missouri State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors has taken action against Foster Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, LLC by revoking six licenses. These revocations are a result of violations of Chapter 333, RSMo, and the Board’s rules.
Specifically, Foster Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, LLC has had its funeral establishment license revoked at its three locations in Carrollton, Norborne, and Waverly. Additionally, both the preneed seller license and preneed provider license of the Chapel have been revoked. Furthermore, Anna Marie Foster’s funeral director license has also been revoked by the state board.
As a consequence of these revocations, Foster Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, LLC is no longer permitted to operate as a licensed funeral establishment. They are also prohibited from selling or servicing preneed funeral contracts. Similarly, Anna Marie Foster can no longer practice the duties that require a funeral director’s license.
In accordance with Board rule 20 CSR 2120-3.030(3), Foster Family Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, LLC is obligated to transfer all active preneed contracts to another licensed seller. They must also transfer the funds held in trust or joint accounts to the designated licensed seller. Consumers who have preneed contracts through Foster Family Funeral Chapel should reach out to the business directly in order to find a resolution.
