Legislation to keep Biden off ballots in Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Georgia has been officially drafted; TX could be next
Republicans in Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania are taking steps to remove President Joe Biden from the election ballots in their respective states.
Three Republican lawmakers, namely Pennsylvania Rep. Aaron Bernstine, Georgia Rep. Charlice Byrd, and Arizona Rep. Cory McGarr, are taking the lead in this initiative. They have collaborated to draft a bill with the aim of removing President Biden’s name from the ballots in their respective states.
The Colorado Supreme Court’s recent decision to remove former President Donald Trump from the Colorado Republican primary ballot has sparked widespread criticism. Republicans nationwide, as well as members from different political parties, have expressed their disapproval of this initiative.
Governor Gavin Newsom recently addressed his party in an interview with Politico, expressing his response to the possibility of similar actions by California Democrats.
“There is no doubt that Donald Trump is a threat to our liberties and even to our democracy, but in California, we defeat candidates at the polls. Everything else is a political distraction.”
In an interview with Breitbart News, the three Republicans joined forces to highlight their collaborative initiative to introduce legislation targeting the exclusion of Joe Biden from the ballots in Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania. They voiced their dissatisfaction with the precedent established by the removal of Donald Trump from the Colorado ballot, asserting that, according to the Democrats’ own understanding of the law, Joe Biden would likewise be disqualified from seeking political office.
If they succeed, removing President Biden from the primary ballots in these key states could present a major obstacle to his nomination. These states play a crucial role in the election process, making the challenge even more significant. The lawmakers make the argument that the Democrats’ justification for removing Trump could easily be applied to Biden as well. They point to concerns about the “insurrection” at the southern border and alleged corrupt business dealings with China as reasons for their stance.
