Police say a customer, who turned into a masked gunman, shot a diner in the head during a restaurant robbery
A horrifying security image shows a shooter moments before shooting a patron during a heist at a New York City restaurant.
It happened early Wednesday inside the Seafood King Fish Market restaurant in Manhattan.
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), a man dressed totally in black, including a black hood and mask, entered the restaurant shortly before 2 a.m.
He demanded cash and cell phones from a restaurant employee as well as a customer.
While exiting the restaurant, the suspect fired his revolver, striking the 37-year-old victim in the head.
He fell in a pool of blood on the floor. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition by EMS.
According to reports, the suspect is a regular customer.
“[He’s] a good man,” a manager told the the Daily News. “I have been seeing for a long time now.”
The restaurant’s owner posted photos of the man holding the pistol to the customer in the hopes that someone would come forward to identify him.
