The Rose Bowl Game’s Referee Has An Interesting Background
Alabama fans have made an interesting discovery ahead of tonight’s Rose Bowl Game. It appears that head referee Mike VanderVelde, who began his refereeing career in Grand Rapids, Michigan, had once ‘Liked’ a post in 2014, celebrating Michigan Basketball’s victory over OSU.

The referees for the XFL Championship Game in May are from the Big 12 Conference, with VanderVelde serving as the referee.
I hope that the referees will not have a significant impact on the game and will make fair calls.
