Woman in Alabama Arrested Following Multiple Fraudulent Transactions Reported by Local Business

An Alabama woman was arrested on December 1, 2023, after local authorities investigated a complaint about multiple fraudulent transactions, as reported by Open Line (OL). Leila Luz Sloane, a 20-year-old from Macon County, will now have to face trial or take responsibility for her actions.

The arrest stems from Police receiving a report from a business involving multiple fraudulent transactions on Nov. 2, 2023. The fraudulent activity took place between Oct. 23 and Nov. 1, and multiple transactions were conducted in the area, as well as other locations outside of the jurisdiction.

WBRL reported that a warrant was issued and Sloane was taken into custody. Her coconspirator, Luis Bodden, was also arrested. Both bonds were set at $5,000.
