Good news! The 15-year-old boy from Connecticut who was reported missing has been found in New York.

Maxwell David Yeater, a resident of Fairfield County, was reported missing after he was last seen at the Newman’s Preservatory Trail located at Bayberry Lane in Westport at around 3:30 pm on November 18th.

On the evening of November 19th, the Westport Police made an announcement that the individual in question had been found in Manhattan earlier that afternoon.

According to Lt. Eric Woods of the Westport Police Department, they were able to locate Maxwell Yeater in a New York City Library near Grand Central Station through law enforcement sharing and social media platforms.

At around 5 p.m., Maxwell was finally reunited with his family thanks to the efforts of our detectives.

Authorities have recently shared updated information regarding the case of a 15-year-old who has gone missing in the area. They now believe that the teenager may have traveled to New York.

The Westport Police released an update on Sunday, November 19th, regarding the search for Newman’s Preservatory Trail. According to the update, the police conducted a thorough and exhaustive search of the trail on Saturday.

According to Lt. Eric Woods from the Westport PD, despite our extensive efforts, including searching the trails on foot, utilizing K-9s in the area, and calling in drone operators to search by air, we were unable to find anything.

According to Woods, a friend of Yeater’s reached out to detectives during the investigation and revealed that he had received a call from Yeater. The friend also shared the phone number from which the call was made.

According to Woods, after investigating the phone number, they found out that it was linked to WI-FI calling kiosks situated in New York City. This indicates that Maxwell might have traveled to the city.
