NYPD investigates death of man discovered in camper van in Flatbush
Authorities have identified the man as 32-year-old Juan Rivas Millan. Police, for now, do not consider his death suspicious.
Last Wednesday night, when the camper first appeared on their block, the neighbors immediately contacted the police. To their surprise, the NYPD informed them that it is perfectly legal for the camper to be parked on the street for a week.
Neighbor Glenda Edwards expressed her shock and concern about the incident, stating, “I heard there were multiple ambulances here and someone had a cardiac arrest and froze to death. If they had responded in time, this tragedy could have been prevented. I did voice my concerns, but unfortunately, someone lost their life.”
The medical examiner is currently conducting an investigation into the cause of death.
