A bizarre accident at a roller rink in New York State has gone viral
A shocking incident occurred this week, capturing the attention of people throughout New York State. Emergency crews swiftly responded to a roller rink in Orchard Park following reports of a vehicle crashing into the building.
Christmas week is in full swing, and families are on the lookout for fun activities to keep their kids entertained. With most schools closed, roller rinks, museums, and other family-friendly places are bustling with activity. However, the absence of snow this winter has left some feeling a tad disappointed, as they are unable to enjoy outdoor winter activities to the fullest.
The accident at Frank Young’s Sports Arena and Roller Rink on North Buffalo Road occurred on Wednesday morning, before anyone had begun skating.
According to reports and a Facebook post from Southtowns Scanner, it appears that the accident occurred due to a medical issue.
EMS personnel attended to the driver, while firefighters assessed the structural damage to the building. They immediately requested a building inspector to evaluate the extent of the damage. The impact on the building’s structural support and the timeline for reopening the business are still uncertain.
