Man killed and woman injured in shooting in Grimes County
The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with several other agencies, is currently investigating a deadly shooting that occurred on Sunday morning, which resulted in the death of one man and the injury of a woman.
As per the statement released by the sheriff’s office, they received a call regarding a birthday celebration at a residence where a dispute arose, leading to two individuals being shot by an unknown assailant. The incident took place on August 27th amidst the presence of close friends and family members.
Sadly, a young man of 29 lost his life at the location of the incident, while a 21-year-old woman was taken for medical attention.

The condition of the patient is stable.
No information has been disclosed about the identities of the victims.
Located in the rural area of Grimes County, specifically south of Plantersville, the incident occurred at 6081 Clark Road.
The authorities have apprehended Justin Sanchez, a 21-year-old resident of Houston, who has been identified as the suspect in the incident.
The investigation into the incident is still ongoing by the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.
