Fatal crash reported in Johnson County
According to reports, emergency crews are currently responding to two crashes that occurred in rural Johnson County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Johnson County Sheriffโs Office, a collision occurred around 12:38 p.m. on Black Diamond Road SW in Oxford. As per the reports, a 2008 Ford Escape was heading west when it crossed the centre line while navigating a right-hand curve and collided head-on with a 1994 Mack Dump Truck.
According to law enforcement authorities, the crash claimed the life of one driver, while the other driver received medical attention for minor injuries.
A vehicle rolled over at the intersection of Eagle Avenue SW and Rohret Road SW, resulting in a second crash. According to officials, the incident involved a deputy, but there were only minor injuries. The deputy received treatment at a nearby hospital and was later released.
The Iowa State Patrol is currently investigating both crashes.
