Part of Michigan could experience freezing rain during Tuesday’s commute
If freezing rain occurs overnight, road conditions may become hazardous in certain areas of the Lower Peninsula on Tuesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of freezing rain mixing with the expected rain overnight. This could potentially cause slick spots on the roads, with the most probable time frame being between 1 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
The conditions may affect an area spanning from northern Kent County and extending up to Big Rapids, all the way north to Cadillac. The forecast primarily covers the region situated north of I-96 and east of U.S. 131.
