NYC Model Dies in Shooting Over Parking Spot at Home Depot

A New York City model was killed in a shooting over a parking spot at Home Depot

Authorities have confirmed the tragic news that a New York City model and singer, who was shot in the head over a parking spot outside a Home Depot last weekend, has passed away. This heartbreaking incident has left many in shock and mourning for the loss of a talented individual who had so much potential.

According to the NYPD, Imani Sharpless passed away on Thursday morning while receiving treatment at the hospital.

The 26-year-old was with her boyfriend, 36-year-old Cordel McDuffie, when they got into an argument with another man outside a home improvement store in Brooklyn Saturday afternoon, according to WABC-TV.

The attacker opened fire on the pair near Willoughby Avenue and Sanford Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, striking Sharpless in the head and McDuffie — the intended target — in the knee.

The incident was caught on camera by surveillance footage.

McDuffie, who was speaking from his hospital bed on Monday, described the person at the center of the incident as one of the most beautiful people he has ever met. He went on to say that she loves kids, is full of life, and is simply a good person. McDuffie expressed his disbelief and shock that such a minor issue could lead to such a devastating outcome, stating that it is overwhelming.

According to the outlet, authorities found a firearm and attire at the location, which they suspect may belong to an individual of interest.

As of now, there have been no apprehensions made by the authorities involved in the case.
