According to authorities, a tragic incident occurred on Sunday night in Southern California when a liquor store employee was shot and killed while trying to stop two individuals from stealing merchandise.
According to the West Covina Police Department, two males entered Big Bob’s Liquors and Market on West Puente Avenue in West Covina just before 9 p.m. with the intention of stealing items. During their robbery attempt, a shooting occurred.
According to the authorities, the victim made an effort to confront the individuals and was subsequently shot during the altercation.
According to officials, after the shooting took place, witnesses quickly rushed to help the victim and dialed 911 for assistance. Meanwhile, the perpetrators made a run for it in a light-colored SUV of an unspecified make and model.
The West Covina Police Department is currently on the lookout for two individuals who are believed to be Hispanic males in their late teens to early twenties. The police have described these two young men as persons of interest and are urging anyone with any information on their whereabouts to come forward and provide any assistance that they can.
