Reno Police Investigating Fatal Rollover Crash on Lemmon Drive

Emergency responders rushed to the scene of a lone car rollover close to Lemmon Drive and Deodar Way at 6:55 p.m. The Reno Police Department, Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, Truckee Meadows Fire Department, and REMSA were all called on to provide assistance.

As the vehicle headed north on Lemmon Drive, the red Ford pick-up truck driver struggled to keep it within the confines of the designated travel lane. The car veered off the road to the right briefly before crossing back onto the left, ultimately resulting in a rollover accident.

Sadly, the driver was thrown from the vehicle and declared deceased at the location of the incident.

The Reno Police Department’s M.A.I.T. (Major Accident Investigation Team) conducted an investigation at the crash site on Lemmon Drive, which caused the road’s closure. The thorough investigation lasted until October 1, 2023, and the road was reopened at approximately 12:15 a.m.

According to the investigators, they suspect that speed played a significant role in the incident.
