Driver accused in multiple vehicle collision had previously been arrested in 2015 for deadly hit-and-run
On Saturday, a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred in Queens, resulting in injuries sustained by eight individuals.
At approximately 3:00 in the afternoon, a 33-year-old man behind the wheel of a Hyundai Genesis reportedly collided with several cars and a 14-year-old pedestrian.
A man named Michael Moreno, who resides in Dutchess County, has recently faced charges for driving under the influence of alcohol, impaired driving, and refusing to take a breathalyzer test.
Upon receiving several 911 calls about a crash at the intersection of 47th Street and Queens Boulevard, the police rushed to the scene. To their dismay, they found a 14-year-old girl who had suffered head injuries as a result of the collision.
A total of eight individuals, including the 14-year-old, were taken to nearby medical facilities for treatment of injuries that were determined to be not life-threatening in nature.
In 2015, Moreno was taken into custody for his involvement in the case.

After being involved in a deadly hit-and-run, Moreno had to serve a six-year sentence in prison.
On Thursday, Grace Rosa Baez and her partner were taken into custody by the authorities.
