Elderly couple, aged 78, discovered fatally shot in Upper East Side apartment building
New York – According to authorities, a residential high-rise located on the Upper East Side was the scene of a tragic incident where a 78-year-old man and woman were discovered deceased from gunshot wounds. The police have confirmed the victims’ identities, but the motive behind the shooting remains unclear.
Upon receiving a 911 call at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, NYPD officers were met with a disturbing sight when they arrived at Yorkville Towers located at 1623 Third Ave.
The authorities have reported that they discovered a gun at the location.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
As of now, the individuals involved in the situation remain unidentified, and there is no immediate information regarding their relationship to each other.
