North County Man Accused of Driving With Drugs in Jefferson County

A man from the North Country has been charged with driving while impaired by drugs in Jefferson County, according to local authorities. The accused, whose identity has not been released, was allegedly operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs, which is a serious offense that can put other drivers and pedestrians at risk. On Wednesday afternoon, the authorities from the New York State Police (Carthage) apprehended Christopher G. McMahon, aged 39, from Carthage, NY. The charges against him include one misdemeanor count of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs in the first-degree.

According to officials, the detainment occurred in Champion town. As of now, law enforcement has disclosed that McMahon has been granted an appearance ticket, and has been released.
