Fatal altercation in Compton results in man’s death
On Sunday evening, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that a man lost his life in a violent fight in Compton. The incident resulted in fatal injuries for the victim.
According to a news release, deputies discovered the victim, a man, at approximately 8:20 p.m. in the 100 block of North Poinsettia Avenue.
According to the release, the man was not responsive and had apparently sustained injuries during a physical altercation with another male Hispanic adult.
Despite the valiant efforts of the deputies and Compton Fire Department personnel, they were unable to save him, and he was declared deceased at the location.
According to authorities, the other individual who was involved in the altercation has been detained for further investigation by Homicide investigators.
At the moment, the investigation is still in progress, and there is no additional information available yet.
