A tragic incident occurred on Sunday afternoon in Kansas City, Kansas, where a man lost his life after being struck by a car.
The collision occurred at the junction of I-635 and N 38th Street just after 1:30 p.m. An elderly pedestrian, named John H. Daniels, had stepped out of his vehicle to offer some money to a homeless individual. Tragically, as he was walking on the road, he was struck by a passing car. Upon their arrival, the authorities confirmed the unfortunate incident had resulted in the immediate loss of John’s life.
Robert Richardson, who had spoken with the victim just moments before his passing, recounted the incident with deep emotion. He shared, “The guy came over and told me that ‘Jesus loves [me]’ and handed me a $20 bill because he knows I’m homeless here. As he started to walk away, I heard a sudden loud crash. When I turned around, I saw that the man had been struck by a car.”
Roberts was acquainted with the individual who generously handed him the $20 bill.
Roberts recounted having encountered him twice before. On both occasions, he extended assistance and expressed Jesus’ love for her. When she reciprocated the sentiment by assuring him that Jesus loved him as well, he returned and handed her $20 while reiterating the message. Tragically, as he walked away, he was struck by a car.
