Iowa woman charged with attempted murder after firing
A woman from Iowa was detained by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office after it was said that she fired a gun during a fight. It happened at her home in Hamburg around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Deputies say that Sonya Holmes, who is 37 years old, fired a shot that hit a car with people in it. Everyone was safe.
Holmes was arrested on charges of trying to kill someone, going armed with the plan to do so, using a weapon for domestic abuse, and careless use of a firearm that caused damage to property. She is being held without bond until she goes to court.
