Lakewood Center Mall forced to close early due to disturbance caused by group of teenagers
Authorities report that a disturbance caused by a group of teenagers led to the early closure of the Lakewood Center Mall on Saturday. The exact nature of the disturbance is not yet known.
In response to reports of a disturbance caused by a large group of juveniles, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department dispatched deputies to the mall shortly before 7 p.m. It was discovered that the gathering, taking place throughout the day, involved hundreds of teenagers who came and went.
Although details regarding the disturbance were not disclosed, the mall had to close earlier than expected. Instead of their regular 9 p.m. closing time, they shut down at 7 p.m. According to deputies, there was a possibility of a fight at the mall, but the units at the scene swiftly resolved the situation.
According to LASD deputies, the gathering was initiated due to a post on social media. There have been no reports of any arrests, thefts, or injuries.
