Man arrested after climbing ladder to enter home and assaulting child, say police

According to the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, Aleem King, a 35-year-old resident of Philadelphia, allegedly used a gun to threaten a 13-year-old victim during an incident that took place on March 4.

According to a statement from the prosecutor’s office, it is alleged that King entered the child’s home on North Street in a surreptitious manner by climbing a ladder to an upstairs window.

A Bellmawr man has been accused of a burglary and an attempted sex crime, where he allegedly targeted girls in their own homes.

King faced charges on August 11 and was subsequently apprehended on October 19 in Greenville, North Carolina.

He is currently being held in North Carolina and will be extradited to South Jersey.

He faces charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

King is facing accusations of burglary and a weapons offense.

These charges are merely allegations, and it is important to note that King has not been convicted in relation to this case.

The investigation is currently underway.
