Montgomery police pursuit results in a SWAT vehicle collision
According to Montgomery police, a police pursuit that took place on Interstate 85 on Friday has resulted in the arrest of two individuals.
According to Maj. Saba Coleman, Montgomery police officers tried to pull over a suspect vehicle on Interstate 85 South around 2 p.m. near Eastern Boulevard and Carmichael Road. However, the vehicle did not stop, which led to a police pursuit.
According to Coleman, law enforcement pursued the suspect on both I-85 South and North. However, the chase resulted in an unfortunate incident when an unmarked SWAT vehicle collided with a private car.
The chase eventually came to a halt near the intersection of Carmichael Road and Eastern Boulevard, where the suspect’s vehicle crashed.
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries in either of the crashes.
According to Coleman, two individuals have been apprehended, although their identities have not yet been disclosed. It is still unclear what charges they may face.
