Ottawa Woman, Previously Banned from All Walmarts, Allegedly Attempts Shoplifting at Peru Store
Despite being banned from all Walmart properties, Olivia Madden, a 27-year-old woman from Ottawa, allegedly committed retail theft at the Peru Walmart on Saturday afternoon. It’s unclear what led to Madden’s ban, but one thing is certain – it didn’t prevent her from engaging in criminal behavior. Despite Walmart’s efforts to keep their properties safe and secure, incidents like this one serve as a reminder that shoplifting and theft remain prevalent issues for retailers across the country.
In addition to being charged with shoplifting, Madden also faced a charge of criminal trespassing. Madden’s alleged partner in crime was 47-year-old Marie Christensen, who resided at the same Ottawa address. Both women were issued notices to appear in court.
On Monday, officers from Ottawa arrested Amanda Volk, a 42-year-old resident of Lostant, on several felony charges that included possession of a controlled substance, forgery, and attempting to gain possession of a controlled substance. Amanda was served with a notice to appear in court.
On Tuesday morning, the Ottawa police apprehended Michael Mitchell Junior, who is 36 years old, due to multiple violations. These violations include driving with a revoked license, being uninsured, having an expired registration, disobeying a traffic signal, speeding, improper lane usage, and aggravated fleeing and eluding. Mitchell was issued a notice to appear in court regarding these charges.
Ottawa Police apprehended Kevin Thompson, a 35-year-old resident of Plainfield, on Tuesday morning, in response to an in-state warrant.
