Patricia Johnson, 52, was reportedly killed in a domestic dispute

The tragic death of Patricia Johnson has left her loved ones in mourning. According to the police, she was shot and killed inside her home in the early hours of October 1st. It is a devastating loss for her family and friends, who are undoubtedly struggling to come to terms with this senseless act of violence.
At approximately 3:49 a.m., the Seventh District Metropolitan Police Department received a distress call about a shooting incident in the 4000 block of 13th Street, Southeast, D.C. Upon their arrival at the location, the officers found 52-year-old Johnson with several gunshot wounds. Despite receiving immediate medical attention, Johnson couldn’t survive and was declared dead.
Desmond Thurston, who is 46 years old and resides in D.C., has been taken into custody and accused of first-degree murder while armed. After a thorough investigation, homicide detectives concluded that the incident was “domestic.”
According to recent reports, the number of homicides in D.C. has risen by 37 per cent compared to last year, with 212 cases reported.
