Police Arrest Youth Captured on Video Pulling Down American Flags at Pro-Palestine Rally
Over the weekend, a 17-year-old boy was taken into police custody in New York City following a viral video that showed a person wearing a mask removing American flags during a pro-Palestinian rally in Midtown Manhattan the previous night.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, a video captured an individual tearing down flags that were affixed to a street light on East 43rd Street and Lexington Avenue. The incident occurred across from Grand Central Terminal and was documented for public viewing.
According to the NYPD, a male has been taken into custody at the location for charges of reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.
A demonstration was held in New York City, urging for a ceasefire in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The protest began at Columbus Circle and proceeded to Grand Central Terminal. However, the situation became chaotic at Grand Central Terminal with pro-Palestinian protesters attempting to kick in the doors. According to reports, at least six protesters were arrested on Friday night.

Sadly, in the aftermath, over 11,000 individuals in Gaza have been killed in Israeli strikes, as reported by the Hamas-run health ministry. The situation is tragic and continues to cause immense suffering for those affected.
