Police Arrested Suspect of Bank Robbery in Pleasantville

According to the Pleasantville police department, Jamarl S. Johnson has been charged with the robbery of a PNC Bank on September 29th.

Upon receiving a silent hold-up alarm from the PNC Bank located at 935 West Black Horse Pike, the Pleasantville Police Department’s officers and detectives promptly responded to the scene.

While the officers were en route, Lieutenant David Aristizabal spoke with the employees of the bank who confirmed that a robbery was indeed taking place.

The perpetrator escaped from the scene.

The Pleasantville Detective Bureau conducted a comprehensive investigation on Oct. 5, which ultimately led to the execution of a search warrant at Johnson’s residence. As a result of this search, Johnson was taken into custody for weapons-related offenses and later released on a summons.

Upon conducting a thorough investigation, Johnson was apprehended for his involvement in the robbery, theft, and making terroristic threats. He was taken into custody as a result of the evidence gathered during the investigation.

After being processed, Johnson is currently being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility until a hearing can be scheduled.
