New York Governor Hochul: Ransom Demand and Fingerprints Aided in Finding Missing Child
Great news has emerged that the 9-year-old girl who was reported missing in Upstate New York and believed to have been abducted has been found alive and in good health.
According to officials, on Monday evening, Charlotte Sena was discovered in Milton, NY, which is situated north of Ballston Spa.
During an interview with Spectrum News, Governor Hochul shared that the missing fourth grader, who had been missing since Saturday night, was found to be in good health. The Governor also revealed that a ransom note had been sent, and the police could locate the young child due to the fingerprints on the message.
On a Saturday evening at around 6:45 p.m., Sena was enjoying a bike ride within the confines of Moreau Lake State Park. However, they grew understandably worried when she failed to return to her parents. After searching for her, they discovered her bike, but Sena was nowhere to be found. Concerned and anxious, Sena’s parents immediately contacted 9-1-1. The following day, State Police issued an Amber Alert, hoping to locate the 9-year-old girl.
During a press briefing, the Governor mentioned that more information would be shared later.
Governor Hochul said, “Everything turns out to be fine when it ends well.”
