Recovered Car in Paterson, Stolen from New York City in September, says Police

According to the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, a 2021 Acura TSX that was reported stolen in New York City last September has been located in Paterson.

According to officials, investigators received information that an individual using a fake identity was attempting to sell the Acura. Moreover, it was found that the car had a fraudulent vehicle identification number.

According to the sheriff’s office, it was found that the Acura had made its way to Paterson on Tuesday. Upon locating the vehicle, detectives proceeded to pull over the driver, who has been identified as Sergio Del Jesus Dias Ramirez, and placed him under arrest.

As per Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik, the objective behind this investigation was to decrease the count of stolen vehicles within the county.

According to a statement made by Bednik, the impact of stolen vehicles is not limited to the owner of the vehicle. It affects all auto insurance customers and leads to increased rates. This criminal behavior has indirect victims, and it is crucial to tackle this issue to avoid financial losses for innocent people.

Ramirez is currently facing a variety of charges, which include possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN and receiving stolen property.
