Searching for Suspect Vehicle Linked to September Homicide
The authorities in Washington D.C. are requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect vehicle that they believe is linked to a homicide that took place in September.
On Monday, the police shared footage of a car that is believed to be connected to a shooting and car accident that occurred on September 6th.
In the early hours of the day, at approximately 3:30 a.m., law enforcement authorities were alerted about gunshots and a car accident at the intersection of 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue, Southeast. Upon reaching the location, they discovered a man inside a vehicle.
Upon arrival at the location, D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services promptly attended to the victim and transported him to a nearby hospital. The injuries sustained by the victim were severe and considered life-threatening.
Brandon Gant, a 23-year-old from Southeast, D.C., passed away on Friday, September 8th, just two days after the incident. The victim couldn’t survive his injuries, and he was pronounced dead.
The car driven by the suspect was caught on a surveillance camera, which is visible in the image below.
The MPD is currently extending a generous reward of up to $25,000 to individuals who can provide credible information that will result in the successful arrest and conviction of the parties responsible. This is an opportunity for concerned citizens to come forward and assist the authorities in bringing the perpetrators to justice. The MPD is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the community and will do everything in their power to hold those accountable for their actions.
