Seven individuals hospitalized in L.A. County after a collision involving multiple vehicles
According to officials, seven individuals were transported to a medical facility following a multi-vehicle collision in Los Angeles County on Sunday.
According to KTLA, the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a collision near Slauson and Alamo avenues in the Maywood neighbourhood a little before 3 p.m.
Upon arrival, the fire department discovered that the collision involved five vehicles, and unfortunately, two of the cars had trapped occupants.
According to footage captured on the Citizen App, the scene depicted many emergency personnel present, with one vehicle overturned on the road.
According to authorities, three of the injured individuals were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, while three others suffered only minor injuries. Additionally, one person sustained moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash remains a mystery, and it is yet to be determined if the use of drugs or alcohol played a role. Officials are still investigating to shed more light on the incident.
The authorities did not disclose any details regarding the victims’ ages.
