After a high-speed pursuit, the suspect crashes on the 605 Freeway in Irwindale.
On Monday night, a high-speed chase reached a thrilling conclusion when the driver crashed into a barrier on the 605 Freeway in Irwindale. As a result, temporary lane closures were put into effect.
Around 10 p.m., the California Highway Patrol officers blocked the northbound lanes while the suspect was taken into custody. AIR7 HD was present at the scene to capture the unfolding events.
According to reports, the suspect crashed into a barrier and promptly fled the scene on foot. In response, the CHP released its K-9 officers to catch the individual.
After being caught, he was spotted receiving medical treatment with small pools of blood nearby.
The reason behind the suspect being pursued by the authorities remains unknown. However, the chase reportedly originated in Bell Gardens and continued into the San Gabriel Valley.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
