The Virginia Beach Fire Displaces Six Individuals
On Sunday evening, a fire broke out in a Virginia Beach apartment building, displacing six residents.
On Pine Song Lane at 5:45 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of a fire at the Linkhorn Park Apartments. Crews arrived to find light smoke and flames coming from a first-floor unit.
By 6:15 p.m., the fire was entirely extinguished by the efforts of the firefighters. Fortunately, the apartment’s occupant was not home at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.
However, the fire caused enough damage to force the evacuation of six residents: four from the floor where the fire began and two from the floor above.
The fire’s origin is still under investigation. The fire department and building administration assist displaced tenants in finding temporary housing.
