This insult to our country and the veterans who served it, declared Larry Kudlow
It’s hard to deny that the current state of affairs in America seems to be lacking in common sense. Instead of normalcy, there’s a growing trend of craziness and irrationality. Reasonableness is being replaced by a sense of insanity that’s becoming harder and harder to ignore.
As I reflect on the events of last Friday night in New York City, on the eve of Veteran’s Day weekend, a time when we honor those who have bravely served in the U.S. military to defend our American freedom, I can’t help but feel a deep sense of disappointment. The images that emerged from that evening were truly disheartening, showing a city in chaos and turmoil. It’s hard to believe that this was once a great city, given the terrible state it was in on that night.
In a recent protest, Palestinian supporters caused a commotion by tearing down American flags in New York City and replacing them with their own. This behavior is unacceptable and disrespectful to our country, the veterans who served it, and every American. It was disappointing to see NYPD cops standing around without taking any action. Although they eventually arrested the person who initiated the incident, what about the other protesters who participated in the act? This behavior needs to be condemned and prevented from happening again in the future.
At the entrance of their campus, students of Hunter College express their support for Palestine by chanting and holding up signs in a pro-Palestinian demonstration. Michael Nigro captured the moment in a photograph for Pacific Press/LightRocket via Getty Images.
As a strong advocate for law enforcement, it’s puzzling to see them standing idly in this photo. It’s important to note that the protesters were not in possession of proper parade permits and should have faced legal consequences. It’s disheartening to witness the destruction of the American flag, especially on the eve of Veterans Day. This type of outrageous behavior seems to be infecting some of our cities and elite colleges.
Last Friday night, New York City witnessed a disturbing incident. Questions arose as to why Mayor Eric Adams didn’t intervene, especially as he is a former cop. The incident involved pro-Palestinian protesters tearing down a flag, and another group attempting to breach the outer doors of Grand Central Station in an effort to reach the police officers taking shelter inside. What made this even more shocking was the fact that the banner displayed on TikTok, a Chinese social media app, declared that the attackers were supporters of Hamas.
MIT has retracted its previous warning to suspend pro-Palestinian student protesters due to visa issues. The university had previously threatened to suspend students who participated in the protests, citing visa violations. However, after facing backlash, MIT has withdrawn its threat and assured students that their visas will not be affected by their participation in peaceful protests. This decision is a victory for students’ rights to free speech and peaceful assembly, and a reminder of the importance of protecting these rights on college campuses.
It’s difficult to understand why police officers would need to take shelter indoors. After all, their job is to maintain law and order out on the streets. Let me be clear: I have the utmost respect for law enforcement. Whenever I come across a police officer while walking around or near our Fox building, I make a point to express my gratitude for their service. It’s disheartening to see that during Veterans Day weekend – or any other time, for that matter – they were unable to prevent chaos caused by individuals tearing down American flags or disrupting the operations of Grand Central Station.
According to Fox News Digital, there are ongoing protests in the area surrounding Grand Central Terminal, which initially started at Columbus Circle earlier tonight.
The question arises, where were the arrests? However, I must acknowledge that the police may be aware of the lack of support they would receive if they made any arrests. It seems that from the highest level of government, including the mayor and President Biden, down to the local level, there is no backing for such actions. It is possible that the police force is well aware of this reality.
Is it not concerning that there has been no national commission established to investigate the growing issue of antisemitism? Mr. Biden, where is your response to this alarming trend? When will we say enough is enough and reclaim the values of America? It is crucial that we restore law and order and common sense. Where are the leaders who can guide us through this tumultuous time? We need the adults in the room, the civic leaders, the college presidents, the ministers of all faith, and the elected officials to step up and take action. We must restore the moral difference between right and wrong, democracy and tyranny, and ultimately, safety and murder.
The recent Israel-Hamas conflict has caused a surge of pressure from the pro-Palestinian left on newsrooms regarding their coverage of the war. The media is being scrutinized for their portrayal of the conflict, with accusations of bias and unfairness being thrown around. This pressure has led to a heated debate about the role of the media in reporting on conflicts and the importance of providing unbiased coverage. Despite the challenges, newsrooms are striving to remain impartial and deliver accurate reporting to their audiences.
US President Joe Biden recently visited Israel amidst the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. During his visit, he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Israeli war cabinet in Tel Aviv. The meeting was held on October 18, 2023, and was captured by Evelyn Hock of Reuters in a photograph that shows the two leaders in discussion. The visit was crucial as tensions between Israel and Hamas continued to escalate, and the meeting was aimed at finding ways to bring an end to the conflict.
