Tornado warnings have been issued for Pinal, Tucson, Graham, and Cochise counties after a tornado hit Falcon Field
The Arizona Weather Force has recently announced a Tornado Watch that will be in effect until 10 pm tonight. This watch will cover several areas including Pinal, Graham, and Greenlee Counties. Additionally, Tucson, the northern half of Cochise County, and Globe will also be affected by this watch. It is important for residents in these areas to stay aware of the weather conditions and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
As mentioned in the Tornado Watch issued yesterday, there is still an impact felt in the forecast zone this morning. San Tan and Phoenix Metro were at the center of this system, causing significant damage to Falcon Field. The news may deny that a tornado occurred, but according to the official Tornado Watch issued by Arizona Weather Force, it did fit the criteria. The planes at Falcon Field were turned over, indicating a rotation factor which confirms the occurrence of a tornado. Despite the denial, based on the evidence, it can be concluded that a tornado did go through Falcon Field last night.
Today’s storms are expected to occur in the areas mentioned previously. However, Maricopa County will not be entirely affected by these storms, as the threat level remains the same. The storms in the watch area will move from west to east, following a similar pattern to the last 24 hours and their current movement.
As well as the Tornado Watch, there’s a possibility of large hail, damaging winds, and flooding that will be in effect. It’s important to keep an eye on the weather forecast and stay updated on any potential dangers in your area. Be sure to take precautions and stay safe during any severe weather conditions.
