Two juveniles caught with fake guns outside NYC synagogue, police say.
Two juveniles reportedly targeted a Brooklyn synagogue on Wednesday night by pointing fake guns at it. This incident occurred amidst the ongoing attacks by Hamas terrorists on the Jewish nation overseas.
According to authorities, at approximately 7:40 p.m., law enforcement was alerted via a 911 call that a few young men carrying firearms were stationed outside Congregation Bโnai Yosef on Ocean Parkway in Gravesend.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement officials discovered two male juveniles possessing an “imitation firearm” and promptly took them into custody, according to police reports.
According to sources in law enforcement, the suspects may have used a gel pellet gun to fire at the building. It is believed that the weapon in question was a replica gun.
According to the Flatbush Shmira, who aided the NYPD in catching the duo, the weapon used was a BB gun. They even shared an image of a police officer holding an imitation assault rifle in black and red.
The mishap is currently being investigated and thankfully, no injuries have been reported.
According to the NYPD, they are still in the initial stages of their investigation and have not yet decided whether their hate crimes task force will be involved in the case.
