Man dies after drowning in Sandbridge area of Virginia Beach

Tuesday afternoon, a man perished in the Sandbridge neighbourhood of Virginia Beach after drowning in the ocean.

It occurred in the vicinity of the 2200 block of Sandfiddler Road, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department. Rescue workers and police officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 12:30 p.m. in response to a report of a victim drowning in the water.Individuals extracted the man from the water prior to the arrival of first responders.

The man was transported by ambulance to a hospital, where he subsequently passed away. The victim was unidentified by the police.
