Child aged 10 loses life in Lancaster collision
A tragic incident occurred in the Town of Lancaster on Friday, where a 10-year-old boy lost his life in a fatal two-vehicle collision.
The intersection of Broadway and Schwartz Road was the location of the accident.
According to the Lancaster Police, a collision between two vehicles occurred at approximately 8:40 p.m. which resulted in multiple individuals being transported to Erie County Medical Center.
According to News 4, the son of Levi Zielonka’s parents, who was only 10 years old, passed away on the night of the accident.
This young 10-year-old had a great passion for sports and thoroughly enjoyed playing football.
The statement was released by the Zielonka family.
“Our family is devastated by our loss. We are grateful for the time we had with our amazing boy. We would like to thank everyone for their prayers and appreciate respect for our privacy at this time.” The Zielonka Family
Levi Zielonka’s passing has left a grieving family, including his parents, grandparents, and six younger siblings, behind.
According to a Lancaster Police detective involved in the case, charges related to this crash are expected to be filed in the upcoming weeks. As of now, no one has been charged yet.
Authorities are investigating whether alcohol and speed played a role in this incident.
Zielonka’s wake is scheduled on Friday, with a Christian burial mass following on Saturday.
