Los Angeles County official and his wife dead after violent car crash in Downey

On Sunday, a devastating car crash in the South Gate area claimed two lives and left another victim in critical condition.

Downey Police Department, the agency responsible for investigating the incident, reported that the crash occurred at approximately 2:05 p.m.

Upon arrival at the scene located near Paramount Boulevard and Gardendale Street, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported that two of the victims had already been found deceased.

According to a statement released by the Downey police, the victims of the tragic incident have been identified as Emilio Guerrero and Annabel Guerrero. Emilio Guerrero was a 52-year-old Sergeant with the Los Angeles County Bureau of Investigation, while his wife, Annabel Guerrero, was a 47-year-old former teacher with the Downey Unified School District.

According to reports, the third individual who was attacked is a 60-year-old man who was immediately taken to a hospital nearby. At present, it has been reported that he is still in critical condition and receiving necessary medical attention.
