ER doctor at Lenox Hill terminated for endorsing Hamas’ assault on Israel

The medical group that employed a New York emergency room doctor, who worked at Lenox Hill Hospital and Brookdale University Hospital fired her due to her comments expressing sympathy towards Hamas’ October 7th mass slaughter of Israeli citizens.

Northwell Health was promptly notified of the message and has stated that they will conduct an investigation and take swift action, as per their announcement on Monday. At around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the medical group fulfilled its promise.

On social media, they expressed their sincere apologies for the harm and offense caused by these comments. They emphasized that these views contradict the fundamental values of Lenox Hill Hospital and Northwell Health. In addition, the team member responsible for these comments is no longer affiliated with Northwell.

Northwell Health’s prompt and decisive action towards addressing the situation was commended by the @StopAntisemites social media page, which originally shared screenshots of Diab’s message. Critics quickly pounced on Diab’s WebMD page, leaving one-star ratings and scathing reviews such as “I wouldn’t want an ANTI-SEMITE as my healthcare provider!”

Another person commented, “The doctor is being praised for performing abortions where babies are decapitated. This is not something to be celebrated. Would you want to be treated by a doctor who takes pride in ending the lives of innocent children?” The sentiment was clear that many were appalled by the doctor’s actions and did not want to support them in any way.

The news of Diab’s firing surfaced on the same day that a Gaza City hospital was destroyed in a blast, reportedly killing 500 individuals. Hamas attributed the destruction to an Israeli airstrike, but the Israel Defense Forces claimed that the hospital was struck by a rocket that Hamas terrorists had misfired.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas has resulted in the tragic loss of over 4,000 lives in just two weeks.
