Man Who Died in Altadena Fight Identified

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified a 53-year-old man who lost his life after getting into a physical altercation with another man in Altadena.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, on Sunday at approximately 3:10 p.m., there was a report of a potential battery and medical emergency in the 2300 block of North Canyada Avenue. Deputies were quick to respond to the call.

According to reports from the sheriff’s and Medical Examiner’s departments, Steve Dixon was discovered unresponsive, while another man was found with undisclosed injuries resulting from a physical altercation between the two. The authorities were alerted to the situation and quickly responded to the scene.

Dixon was declared deceased at the location by the Los Angeles County Fire Department, while the other individual was transported to an unknown hospital with an unclear medical status. It remains uncertain whether he was taken into custody by authorities.
