New York City is expected to experience heavy rainfall and scattered showers on Monday
At times, heavy rain in the morning. As Opehlia makes its closest approach, a narrow band of HEAVY RAIN will form near New York City. Models disagree as to whether this band should be placed on top of the city or just to the north. This situation will be a nowcast. Regardless, anticipate isolated ponding and flooding through midday. The rain will become lighter this evening, but it will continue until Tuesday morning.
The weather gradually improves throughout the afternoon and evening on TUESDAY. The temperature will be in the mid-sixties.
