Man struck by train at Herald Square subway station dies: NYPD

According to authorities, a tragic incident occurred in Midtown Manhattan on Wednesday, where a train struck a 69-year-old man. Unfortunately, the man has passed away as a result of the accident, as confirmed by the police.

According to officials, the occurrence happened around midday, precisely at 12:45 p.m., within the 34th Street-Herald Square subway station.

According to the police, the man fell onto the tracks and was hit by a southbound D train while standing on the platform.

According to officials, a man was transported to Bellevue Hospital after sustaining head injuries and losing a leg. Tragically, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to NYC Transit, the B and D lines are experiencing significant disruptions in both directions, affecting service.
